Lincoln and Bruce Belland gave two Southern California concerts in early October for capacity crowds at The Motion Picture Country Home in Los Angeles, and for the Community Concert Association in Ramona. Their unique blend of nostalgia, humor, and great music making was received enthusiastically by an audience of all ages. For information about booking this concert, take a look at www.2historymakinghitmakers2.com

Later in the month, Lincoln and Sheri flew down to Tallapoosa, Georgia, to mix their new compact disc, "American Snapshots - Two Hundred Years of American Music." TownHall's esteemed recording engineer, Marilyn Ries, has built a new studio in the woods where the situation is ideal for concentrated work.

Lincoln and Sheri are shown above at the door of Marilyn's Studio, known as Ries Sound South, an attractive, brick structure designed by Marilyn for optimum acoustics and soundproofing.

Here is Marilyn, at the digital console, bringing twenty-four channels of audio down to a refined, finished stereo recording. The choices and flexibility in mixing music with such a computer boggle the analogue mind.

Lincoln is heels over head in his appreciation of one of Marilyn's mixes!

The mixing of the album, music from Stephen Foster to Hoagy Carmichael to John Fogerty, took place over a period of five intense days. Above, Marilyn takes a breath of fresh air on the deck of her studio, after a job well done.

There is still time to participate in this unique project for those interested. Click on  The TownHall Recording Society for the details.
