Information on
Booking a Concert Event, Commissioning and Guest Conducting
Lincoln Mayorga is available for solo concerts of great variety, chamber music, as well as orchestral concerts as soloist in standard concerto repertoire. He frequently performs all of George Gershwin's music for piano and orchestra, and unusual works such as Dick Hyman's Ragtime Fantasy and Mayorga's own Angels' Flight, a concerto tribute to the cinematic musical idiom, incorporating jazz. Mayorga's Angels' Flight had its premier with the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra with additional performances in New York, Oklahoma, and this year with Lawrence Leighton Smith and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic.
In 2006 Mayorga was commissioned by Vermont based L'Ensemble to write "Louis in New Orleans", a quartet for voice, violin (or clarinet), jazz bass, and piano, based on a memoir by Louis Armstrong about growing up in New Orleans. Mayorga performed this piece with L'Ensemble at Southern Vermont College and the New York State Performing Arts Center.
Chamber works by Mayorga include Fiddle-de-bop (violin, piano, bass), Bluefields -- A West Hollywood Rumba (commissioned by violinist Arnold Steinhardt), and In Memory of Shelly Manne (oboe and four 'celli).
