"AMERICAN SNAPSHOTS : 200 YEARS OF AMERICAN SONG"
Lincoln Mayorga with Sheri Bauer-Mayorga

With song, piano solos, and commentary, Sheri Bauer-Mayorga and Lincoln Mayorga  present a "Studs Terkel-esque" look at American music. Performing the "The People's American Songbook," the Mayorgas travel from the mountaintops, to the ballads and  be-bop of the city, and into storm of US politics. Songs by Stephen Foster, John Jacob Niles, Annie Ross, Tom Lehrer, Randy Newman, Mercer & Carmichael, William Bolcom, John Fogerty, and Malvina Reynolds. Lincoln dishes up some Bix Beiderbecke, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, and his special styling of music by Phil Ochs.  Add to the mix arrangements of traditional tunes, as well as songs by each of the Mayorgas. Inspired by Stud's book, "And They All Sang", the Mayorgas forge a musical American panorama with height, breadth, and depth.
